Now available on vinyl: the live recording of Richard Strauss' masterpiece An Alpine Symphony, performed by the Wiener Symphoniker under the baton of their Chief Conductor Petr Popelka at the Musikverein Vienna.
This Pure Analogue vinyl edition combines Richard Strauss’ An Alpine Symphony with an uncompromisingly analogue production approach. The live performance was recorded reel-to-reel on analogue tape and mastered directly from tape to vinyl, without any digital intermediate steps.
The result is an exceptionally authentic listening experience that preserves the full dynamic range, spatial depth, and sonic warmth of the live performance in all its natural richness. Strauss’ monumental tone poem unfolds in all its orchestral splendour, from the mysterious colours of night and the ascent to the summit, to the elemental force of the storm and its ultimately serene resolution.
